Jasmyne ‘Joala’ Johnson is an Art Director & Print-maker based in Atlanta,GA and working everywhere.

When I'm not flying a magic carpet with Aladdin, I work with people to create designs and ideas that feel just as magical. It's how I got the alias Joala ( pronounced as voialà). My role as an Art Director has been an amazing way for me to honor my inner child and create something great every day. Within 2022, I have been able to create graphics for the NBA 75th Finals, social campaigns for Popeye's, and even develop my own eco-friendly apparel produced and designed in-house.

A year after obtaining my BFA from University of West Georgia I created my own print studio. The skills that I obtained in printmaking allowed me to create a service for others to access quality printed products to local small businesses. While in Undergrad I obtained a scholarship to travel to Texas for the first time ever and attend the Southern Graphics Conference. As well as a work study opportunity as a print studio manager at the University.

This same year my fine art also had great success. I curated my first solo exhibition, had a sculpture inducted into Carroll county's permanent art collection, began teaching art classes to youth, and reoccuring figure drawing classes to adults. I began my creative pursuit and licensed business in 2016, freelancing designs, and creating work that continues to thrive globally.
